Sound inspiration

In search of inspiration and ideas, I started exploring Arno Fabre’s work:

“Dropper01”.

The concept of connecting water with a special computer-controlled device, where water drops onto plates, wooden board, lithophone, flower pots and etc. That interesting concept of controlling nature with devices, sort of clash of artificiality and nature.

“Les Souliers”

An ensemble of thirty pairs of shoes mechanically queued by tramplers and computer-controls. These shoes hit and rub the floor to make acoustic music according to an original composition. It gave me an idea to record steps in the snow.

Fabrizio Plessi

It was interesting to discover so many works developed around natural elements.

Another interesting method of exploring sound is a visualization of words, that was initially explored by Dali.

That running topic of using water in art truly fascinated me,

Another interesting art piece developed around that concept is “bit.fall”, it is such an experimental way of creating sound and connecting it to visuals.

Camille Norment “Rapture” is an interesting innovative way of using, reintroducing and changing already existing techniques, in this case, an instrument that actually unites digital music, ancient music now used in contemporary art.

Thanks to exploring more experimental sounds I came to the conclusion that using alternative sounds and altering them. So I decided to change the previous idea of recording more literal sounds and mixing them to trying change one sound (like water drops) to an extent when it is recognizable but quite different to the original.
